Graphics in practice

On Sunday 7 March at the Hotel AC Ciudad de Pamplona, took place the official opening of the workshops 'Show, Don't Tell' and 'Interact! Don't Show', giving the go-ahead to the International Infographics Summit Malofiej 18 . In an atmosphere of closeness and confidence, instructors  -John Grimwade, Juan Velasco, Alberto Cairo and Geoff McGhee- were presented to the participants and outlined how they will include three days of intense group work.

On Monday morning, early, they went by bus to the Chillida-leku Museum, near San Sebastian, where they attended a guided tour (in English) through the sculptures of Chillida. The snow fell overnight put the colorful note. The sculptures 'Lotura' and 'Harri' were two of those visited. Following the visit took place within the Chillida house.

Meal time was spent in San Sebastian, a city famous for its pintxos, and then back to Pamplona to work in teams of four about the morning visit. There was four groups of the workshop 'Show, Don't Tell' and a group of 'Interact! Don't Show '.

The day was closed with an exhibition of computer graphics made by John Grimwade.
