ÑH7 [2010] SUMMIT

The artist as a reporter
Gabi Campanario, illustrator of the american newspaper The Seattle Times, is experiencing a new form of 'counting' in the newspapers. Or maybe not so new, almost rediscovered from things already existing in the nineteenth century but had been lost: pictures of daily life depicted on his notebook.
Born in Barcelona, he began his career as a graphics artist at La Vanguardia. It has created the global illustrators network urbansketchers.com, and the title of his lecture at the NH7 is precisely 'The artist as a reporter’.
